Artisti del Mondo, unitevi con la street art a Punto Croce XXXL!!

Pochi anni fa un’ artista scenografa spagnola Raquel Rodrigo ha invaso Madrid con ricami floreali all’ apparenza pixelati ma che in visione ravvicinata si sono rivelati fili di spago colorati intrecciati nella rete metallica con un punto croce inconsueto “ un incontro insolito tra moda e architettura, tradizione e tecnologia” . Da questa premessa nasce la nostra sfida che invita a realizzare su una griglia di qualsivoglia materia un manufatto a punto croce tessuto con altrettanta fantasia con fili di qualsiasi natura.

Desideriamo invitare a questa azione collettiva studenti, artigiani, appassionati e artisti affermati. Sollecitiamo a liberare fantasia e creatività: insieme andremo a realizzare installazioni uniche che diventeranno parte di una mostra diffusa, intrecceremo storie e visioni in un’ espressione artistica sensazionale! Il 2024 è un anno ricco di celebrazioni storiche e culturali, il nostro intento è di celebrarlo con azioni che creino una coralità di colori e forme straordinarie. Ognuno avrà libertà totale nella scelta dei materiali e dello stile artistico, l’unico vincolo sarà utilizzare la tecnica del punto croce.

La call prevede più categorie:

● Opere da studio che verranno realizzate da ciascun partecipante nel proprio atelier su qualsiasi supporto reticolato con dimensioni unificate e inviate successivamente ad un nostro recapito. Questa categoria è aperta a tutti.

● Opere realizzate in Residenza Artistica. Questa categoria è solo per gli artisti che dovranno interpretare i luoghi a seconda del tema scelto. Una commissione valuterà la migliore idea progettuale inviata una per ogni tema . I 3 artisti scelti saranno ospitati in residenza gratuita presso una struttura nel comune di Capo di Ponte e completeranno il lavoro nell’arco di una settimana nel mese di giugno.

 

COME PARTECIPARE:

1 -Compilare il modulo di partecipazione dove saranno indicate le misure da rispettare e la modalità di spedizione.

2 – Compilato inviarlo alla e-mail indicata con gli allegati richiesti.

3 – Procedere con l’invio dell’opera a seconda della categoria scelta.

4 – Ogni opera dovrà essere completa di telaio perimetrale.

Artists of the World, Unite with street art at Cross Stitch XXXL!!

A few years ago, Spanish set designer Raquel Rodrigo invaded Madrid with apparently pixelated floral embroideries. Upon close inspection, they revealed themselves to be threads of colored twine woven into the wire mesh, creating an unusual cross-stitch – “an unusual meeting between fashion and architecture, tradition, and technology.” From this premise comes our challenge, inviting you to create, on a grid of any material, a cross-stitch artifact woven with equal imagination using threads of any nature.

We wish to invite students, artisans, enthusiasts, and established artists to this collective action. We invite you to unleash your imagination and creativity: together, we will create unique installations that will become part of a widespread exhibition. We will weave stories and visions into a sensational artistic expression! “2024 is a year full of historical and cultural celebrations, and our intention is to commemorate it through actions that form a symphony of extraordinary colors and shapes. Participants will enjoy complete freedom in selecting materials and adopting an artistic style; the only stipulation is to employ the cross-stitch technique.

The call includes multiple categories:

● Studio Works. Participants are invited to create their pieces in their own studios on any grid support with unified dimensions, which will later be sent to one of our designated addresses. This category is open to everyone.

● Artist Residency Works. Exclusively for artists, this category involves interpreting designated places based on the chosen theme. The works will be crafted on-site by three selected participants, one for each theme. A commission will assess the best project idea submitted, and the chosen artists will be accommodated in a complimentary residency at a facility in the municipality of Capo di Ponte. They will complete their work within a week in June.

 

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

1 – Fill out the participation form where the required size and shipping method will be specified.

2 – Once completed, send it to the provided email address along with the necessary attachments.

3 – Proceed with sending the artwork according to the selected category.

4 – Each artwork must be equipped with a perimeter frame.
